At the Saint Joseph Preschool in Florence, the children engaged in a British themed week where they learned about Anglo-Saxon culture. Throughout the week the children participated in activities, such as making the British Flag with streamers, constructing a teacup, and going on a tour of London’s most well-known monuments with the story “Katie in London”. Parents and children were invited to a five o’clock tea party where they learned how English breakfast tea is made and had tea and biscuits as they watched a video of the changing of the guard at Buckingham Palace. In closing, the children also enjoyed a traditional English lunch. Overall, everyone was very enthusiastic and got a little taste of London right here in Florence.
